It's all about celebrating and promoting social responsibility by college students! Are you a college student that volunteers as a Big Brother or Sister? Help at a homeless shelter? Then this day is for YOU!

On Oct. 3, college stores across North America will hold in-store celebrations thanking their student customers for the good they do. Events will range from flash sales and free food to contests and live music.

But that's not all! College students have the opportunity to win great prizes for sharing how they volunteer..

Create a login to register and post an example of how you give back to your community. Story submissions and voting open at midnight on August 1. Winners will be announced within 1-2 weeks of 10.17.13.

The three most popular stories of student volunteerism will win scholarships of $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000; 12 additional stories will be selected at random to win iPad minis.
