National Student Day will hold its third annual event Oct. 3, 2013!

It's all about celebrating and promoting social responsibility by college students! Are you a college student that volunteers as a Big Brother or Sister? Help out at a homeless shelter? Spend time working at the local food bank? Then this day is for YOU!

Your college store is holding a celebration

On Oct. 3, college stores across North America will hold in-store celebrations thanking their student customers for the good they do. Events will range from flash sales and free-food, to contests and live music. See if your school’s store is participating.

Enter National Contest; Win Valuable Prizes

But that's not all. College students have the opportunity to win great prizes for sharing how they volunteer.

Create a login to register and post an example of how you give back to your community. You can submit text, photos, drawings, or video. Then urge your friends to vote for you. Spread the word via YouTube, Facebook and Twitter to capture the most votes and win! 

The three most popular stories of student volunteerism will win scholarships of $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000; 12 additional stories will be selected at random to win iPad minis.
